I have done a few senior sessions with horses this year. The Class of 2024 brought a few horses my way and I could not have enjoyed it more. I really hope that I have at least one session with horses a year. That will make my year.
In the fall of 2023 I met Charli for her first session of her Extra Package. We met where she trains with her horse, Mojito. Mojito is a tall, gorgeous horse. He enjoys pop tarts and gets a little anxious in new situations. Basically Mojito and I are besties. Expect for the fact that he has a crew that takes care of him. Even his nails got shined before the session.
An hour of shooting and we had perfection (it might have been more than an hour). We had the best combo. Gorgeous client, stunning horse, beautiful location. At the end we finished with an amazing sunset! How can we ask for more? I don’t think we can.
Spring Senior Session with a Horse
Now it’s spring and we did Charli’s second session. For session number 2 we met at Charli’s home and took pictures with her horse Maddie. Maddie was not as nervous as Mojito. She loves mints and apparently Peeps. She didn’t have Peeps during our session because they are messy.
For Charli’s spring session we were also able to include some college reveal photos. And guess what? She is going to be an Aggie! I love when my seniors are going to Texas A&M.
Horse Photo Session Number 3
To round off my senior sessions with horses I met Brooke and her two horses. So I didn’t get one horse. I got two horses at the same time! You heard that right. TWO!!! I was a bit nervous. My brain thought that they would not want to do what I wanted them to do. Turns out that they are also into treats and can be bribed into posing. How cool are they?
So I got two cool horses but Brooke… Brooke was awesome! She handled both of them like a champ. And she kicked her session’s butt! Every outfit was amazing and she had me laughing the whole time. And One thing I learned about her, she loves SPEED! Watch out Sam Houston University!!!
