I am very grateful that I am a The Woodlands family photographer. During the last 10 plus years I have been lucky to meet some wonderful families. I have seen many kids go from babies to kids in high school. I have seen two of my senior clients get married. And a lot of the kids that I photographed at the beginning of my photography journey have started graduating!
Being a photographer in The Woodlands has given me the privilege to be part of your lives. I have met wonderful people on my way to were I am now. Honestly, I don’t think of my clients as just a business transaction. My clients become my friends.
Why did I become a family photographer in The Woodlands?
I have called The Woodlands home for many years, specially for the past 20. 20 years ago my husband and I bought our first house in The Woodlands. The house that we would raise our family in. So many wonderful memories are attached to The Woodlands for me.
Right away I started photographing my baby and husband. I loved sharing those photos with our family near and far. Everyone loved getting the updates that we had about the baby. My in-laws loved getting printed copies of all the photos I took.
Then, when we were playing with friends I would take out my camera and capture the moment. This made some friends ask me if I would take pictures of their babies. I did take the pictures for them but I never thought that anyone would want to pay for something like that.
Finally, after a few years I was taking pictures of families that I hadn’t met. Families that had seen my work. This is the point when I decided to take it to the next level. I decided that I could do this as a business and bring valuable images to the people that I would be working with.
Clearly, Maria Snider Photography doesn’t have a fast and crazy story. But the story does start with love. The love for my family and the love for photography met and created my passion. Without a doubt, those two are the biggest motives that I want to share my photography with families. I want them to have memories that are special for them forever.
