Turning One: First Birthday Photography Session in The Woodlands

Turning one is a big milestone that I love photographing for families. Babies are active and a lot of the times they are on the move. Samantha was no different. She wasn’t quite sure what she thought about my camera but she was all about playing with mom and dad.

We met at a local park for some quick photos. I like to deliver a gallery with a variety of photos. Of course we need some of baby by herself. Some of the parents with baby and some with just mom and just dad. We play, we laugh, and most of all I make sure that baby has a good time.

My focus when doing family photography is the family. And my focus when taking pictures of a baby turning one is the baby. I do not use a lot of props. If we use a blanket it will usually be one that the family owns and brings to the session with them. It is important to me that when you look at pictures years from when we took them that you see the people and things that have meaning to you.

Sam’s parents brought a blanket for her to sit and take pictures on. She was so sweet (and a little shy too).

At the end of the session Sam just wanted mom and dad. And we got the sweetest pictures of them loving on each other.

All smiles, that’s what I live for! Happy baby, happy mama, happy dad, happy photographer!

I would love to capture your memories. Click here and let’s plan your photo session!
