Family photos at Houston Arboretum are so cool. The Houston Arboretum (Mercer Arboretum) is such a “hidden” gem. Not a lot of people know about it. Of course photographers know because that is our job. But the general population has no idea it even exists.
My good friend, Tracy, wanted a beautiful setting for her family photos. She wanted natural but a bit more manicured than my usual forest pictures. She wanted flowers. Also, she wanted it warm weather. Well in Houston it’s not hard to make it warm enough in the fall. The rest was up to Mercer to deliver. And man did it deliver for us.
No matter what time of year I go to the arboretum it’s always beautiful. The trails just wonder around the property and it’s easy so find amazing nooks to photograph.
Family photos are so important. The focus should be the family. But when you do family photos at the Houston Arboretum you have the perfect combination. Your family will be front and center and the arboretum will be the perfect background.
