The Woodlands College Park Track Photos

Spring was busy this year.  (Feels like the whole year is busy now a days.)  This year The Woodlands College Park Track team contacted me for track photos and individual photos.  Teenagers are so fun to photograph and it can be a bit chaotic and that’s ok.  I work well with a little chaos.

Track pictures went smoothly; I got lots of great photos, had a lot of laughs, we were super hot, and got a bit of a sunburn.  First we worked with the girls first.  They knew exactly what they wanted and most knew how to stand.  They were wearing their uniforms and they all looked gorgeous.  Youth, what a beautiful thing.  Afterward we moved to the boys.  They didn’t really care what pose we used for their picture (I imagine that most of them were doing it for their mom).  They were really nice and respectful.  In either case the kids all gave me their best smiles and were very cooperative.

In addition one of the things that I really enjoy about taking team or class pictures is giving people great photos of their kids doing what they love to do.  These kids are such great athletes and spend so much time and effort working on their sport.   The least they can get is a beautiful picture to look back on after they have left high school.  Usually I shot my seniors and families at the very pretty light of sun set or sun rise (the golden hour) but with these pictures we had to do the session in full sun.  I am as happy with them as if I would have shot them in the golden hour.  All the kids are looking sharp and the sun add a great element to the photos.

Given all these points I would call this day a huge success! And I can’t wait to do this all over again next year!
